Will Coffey, a passionate and driven member of Team ONIX, discovered the exciting world of pickleball in an unexpected but life-changing moment. While on a family vacation to Hilton Head, South Carolina, Will visited the renowned Palmetto Dunes Tennis and Pickleball Center. It was there that he first picked up a pickleball paddle — and something instantly clicked. That first game ignited a passion that quickly grew into a full-blown commitment to the sport. Although basketball had been his primary focus up to that point, Will soon realized that pickleball brought him more joy, energy, and motivation than any other sport he had played.
Now, three years into his competitive pickleball journey, Will has become a rising athlete with a deep appreciation for the game and its growing community. As a high school student, he skillfully balances a demanding academic schedule while also working part-time as a pickleball instructor in his hometown of Bowling Green. Teaching others has only deepened his respect for the sport, as he shares his knowledge and enthusiasm with players of all skill levels.
