Hosted at Pickleball Heaven in Medford, New York, the event brought together elite women players, dedicated supporters, and passionate sponsors for a full day of high-level play and celebration.

From early morning setup to final match point, every detail of the Winter Cup Team Challenge was intentionally designed. Courts were prepared, player boards were displayed, trophies and medals were arranged, and gift bags were assembled to ensure players felt welcomed and appreciated from the moment they arrived.
Opening ceremonies set the tone for the day. Teams were formally introduced, roses were presented in team colors, and the National Anthem was played as the American flag was carried by a retired veteran. A prayer followed, officially opening the challenge and reinforcing the spirit of gratitude, respect, and unity that defined the event.
Making Pickleball Memories
One of the most memorable elements of the Winter Cup was the custom Players Board Boulevard. Designed by YoYo Monroe with support from Kevin Monroe, each board featured player photos and information, serving as both a display for spectators and a keepsake for participants.

A Unique and Competitive Format
The Winter Cup Pickleball Team Challenge featured four creative rounds designed to test skill, strategy, endurance, and teamwork:
Round One: Traditional match play
Round Two: Team All-Play – “Raising the Game”
Round Three: Crazy 8’s – nonstop timed play
Round Four: Jumpin’ Jacks Four – a combination of doubles and singles
Each format brought new energy and challenge to the courts, keeping both players and spectators engaged throughout the day. Optional exhibition games added excitement and an extra layer of competitive fun.
A Championship Decided in Dramatic Fashion
Two teams emerged as standouts throughout the competition: Blazin’ Paddles and Gold Dinkers.
Gold Dinkers held a strong lead through the early rounds, showcasing consistency and teamwork. As the final round unfolded, momentum shifted. With every point counting, Blazin’ Paddles mounted a comeback that culminated in a narrow, hard-earned victory.
Blazin’ Paddles were crowned the 2026 Winter Cup Pickleball Team Challenge Champions, lifting the trophy after an impressive final surge. Gold Dinkers earned silver medals following a disciplined and determined performance marked by excellent sportsmanship.

While the final score determined the champions, the Winter Cup emphasized that every participant contributed to the success of the event. Awards and door prizes recognized leadership, dedication, encouragement, sportsmanship, and team spirit.
